We’re here to support Wixom’s parents, teachers and schools.
See below for resources that can assist you in your parenting and education experience.
Using the Library
Parents
Discover activities for kids from birth through 6th grade on our event calendar.
We also offer a variety of resources for parents at the library. Our parenting collection features books on a variety of topics, covering the baby through the teen years. The parenting collection is located at the start of our kid’s non-fiction collection. Parents can also pick up a monthly early literacy calendar with literacy tips, activities, and suggested books.
Educators
Teachers in the Walled Lake Consolidated School District and other schools located in Wixom are eligible to get a teacher card to borrow materials for your classroom. Teacher cards can be obtained at the Check Out Desk with a school ID.
Our children’s librarians are available to schedule visits to your classes as well as field trips to the library. You can request a visit online using our Outreach form.
We are also available to assist with upcoming assignments. Please let us know about upcoming assignments so that we may better serve you and your classes and ensure a positive library experience for your students. If you have copies of bibliographies that you would like to share with us, they would also be helpful. To alert us of upcoming assignments, please email wixom@wixomlibrary.org.
