Man assisting man with down syndrome on laptop

The Wixom Public Library is dedicated to being part of the community we serve and to provide accessible services for all.

Books By Mail

A service provided to Wixom residents who cannot come to the library (due to accessibility, illness, or other reasons) to receive free delivery of library books (regular and large print) and audiobooks by mail. Materials can be mailed to a Wixom home address.

ESL Materials

There is a special ESL Collection in the Adult Non-Fiction area for adults who are trying to improve their reading or English language skills. Books, audiobooks, and DVDs are available to check out. Search the catalog here or ask a librarian for help.

Oakland Talking Books Service

This free service administered by the Rochester Hills Public Library, loans talking books and magazines, large print books, Braille and talking book players to eligible Oakland County residents of all ages. If you are unable to read or use standard printed materials as a result of temporary or permanent visual or physical limitations, you should qualify. A talking book player and materials will be mailed at no cost as Free Matter for the Blind.

Large Print Books

Stop in to select a large print book from our collection of more than 1,000 large print titles. We can also request large print titles from other libraries. Librarians are always available to help you in selecting materials.

Magnifiers

Wixom Public Library owns a collection of magnifiers in different levels of magnification, styles, etc. These magnifiers are available for check-out so patrons may "test drive" the different magnifiers before making an expensive purchase for themselves. View a listing of some options here.
