This year’s Summer Reading theme is All Together Now. Simply read books of your choice and earn prizes!

Summer reading is available for all ages and registration is ongoing beginning June 1. Log your reading by August 12 on our Beanstack website or the Beanstack Tracker app.  Prizes can be picked up through August 19. Summer Reading Challenges

Early Literacy Readers | Babies 0-24 months
Complete a variety of early literacy activites to earn a prize pack and board book.  

Kids & Tween Readers | Ages 2 through 6th Grade
Register and receive a bookmark and a temporary tattoo. Paper reading logs are available at the Children's Desk. Visit the Library to pick out a weekly prize from the treasure chest for every new hour read. Read (or be read to) 9 hours to earn a sticker, a book from the summer reading cart, a coupon for a small cone at the Wixom Dairy Queen, and an entry into a drawing for a Barnes & Noble gift card. Read more hours to earn extra drawing tickets (maximum 3 tickets per child). Visit the Library to pick out a weekly prize from the treasure chest for every new hour read.

Teen Readers | Entering Grades 7 - 12
Teens can register and receive a free book and a bookmark. To complete the challenge, read and log 3 books to get a prize pack, a free book, and an entry into a drawing for a Kindle eReader or a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card. Earn extra prize tickets by reading more books (maximum 3 tickets per teen). 

Adult Readers
Adults can register and receive a free book and a bookmark. Read and log 3 books to earn a $5 gift card, a book and an entry into drawings for both a Kindle eReader and a book pack of your choice. Earn extra tickets into the drawing by reading more books (maximum 3 tickets per person).

Logging Your Reading

To log your reading, sign up for the summer reading program on our Beanstack website or download the Beanstack Tracker app to your phone. Families can sign up using one account and switch between readers to log reading. Kids, Tweens, and Early Literacy Readers have the option of using paper logs that are available at the Children's Desk.

Instructions if you do not have a Beanstack account:

1. Go to https://wixomlibrary.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker app to your phone from the Apple Store or Google Play
2. Click on "Register an Individual or Family"
3. Fill out the registration form
4. Select the Summer Reading challenge from the list of available challenges and Join the Challenge
5. Start reading!

Already have a Beanstack Account? Follow these instructions:

1. Sign into your account at https://wixomlibrary.beanstack.org
2. Under Current Challenges, register and join the Summer Reading challenge
3. Start reading!
