You can temporarily suspend your holds in eLibrary if you are going to be on vacation or otherwise unable to make use of the items on which you have placed holds. It can also help schedule holds on a series of books that you want to get lined up to come in for you in the right order. When you suspend a hold it is suspended until a specific date (of your choosing), then it becomes active again. While your holds are suspended they will continue to move to the top of the line, but they will not be filled until you activate them again or until the "Suspend until" date is reached.
To suspend a hold:
- Log in to My Account.
- Select "Renew Materials & Review My Account".
- Select the holds you wish to suspend.
- Choose the "Suspend Selected" radio button.
- Click the "Suspend Selected" button.
